2024 was such a great year for Total Sports Recruiting. Just have a few left to tighten up and a couple really nice transfer portal players that we are diligently talking to schools to fine them that "Right Fit" school and program for them to be successful just like all of out student/athletes. 2023 and just almost the 1st month of January have brought so many changes across the NCAA and how they regulate their recruiting guidelines. The transfer portal has opened up what I call TOTAL FREE AGENCY for Power 5 schools and what I would refer to as an opportunity for Mid Majors and lower levels. The NIL has done things in a short period that I never could comprehend til about 5 years ago when it began to get hinted. College Athletic Recruiting has changed so much and HS athletes have to go with the flow. 2 years ago in baseball, 7.1% of HS players were welcomed into the collegiate ranks. Currently, 5.4% of HS players are entering into college baseball programs.
In the year 2024 it is a total advantage to have an advocate who promotes, edcates, consults and guides you to your exposure events to showcases and camps that are attended by coaches who have your information and are there to see you play. Unless you are a complete stud coming out of HS it will be tough getting into Power 5 schools. They want finished products and do not want to spend as much time on developing as they used to. This all even trickles down to top Mid Majors, Top Tier D2's and even some Top Tier NAIA schools. A good piece of advice is to go out and watch college games at each level. Play is unbelievably outstanding and to be a part of that small percentage that moves onto the college level you should be commended.
Total Sports Recruiting will be moving its base operations to Justin, Texas, just north of Dallas/Fort Worth.
